Poem:

A pleasant morning

with the dog at the cafe;

coffee and cigarettes

on the sunny patio

with a young artist

and a retired veteran.

Dog and I head home,

and I almost ruin the day

by trying to pay my gas bill online.

What an automated shitfest.

But a late lunch of sushi

just up the street

on a beautiful April afternoon

should change my disposition.
